We get it. You've seen this pitch before. Another startup, another "revolutionary" link-in-bio tool, another dashboard promising to fix your creator life. Fair enough. Give us five minutes before you close the tab.
Open any social platform's bio field and you hit the same wall. One link. TikTok gives you one. Instagram gives you one. YouTube gives you one too, tucked into a description most people never scroll down to read. Your entire online life has to collapse into a single URL. The Substack. The merch drop. The podcast. The affiliate deal. The thing you spent all weekend building.
That's not a manufactured problem. It's real enough that an entire category of tools exists just to solve it. That category was worth roughly $1.8 billion as of 2025, and it's projected to keep growing by about 15% a year.
Somewhere along the way, though, the tools built to solve it stopped serving the people who actually need them.
Most people using a link-in-bio tool are not influencers with agents and six-figure brand deals. Most are someone turning a hobby into something real. Travel videos. A cooking account. A small-business podcast. They're earning something modest and inconsistent along the way. According to the 2025 Creator Earnings Report from Influencer Marketing Hub and NeoReach, more than half of all creators earn under $15,000 a year, and only a small handful ever clear six figures.
That's who this category actually serves. It hasn't been who it's built for.
In November 2025, Linktree raised its Pro tier from $9 to $15 a month. That's a 67% increase, and it landed with little warning. Linktree told existing subscribers the new pricing would apply starting at their next billing cycle. Its free tier still takes 12% of whatever a creator sells through it.
Across nearly this whole category, the tools that solve "build me a bio page" and the tools that solve "shorten this link" are still made by different companies. Different logins. Different dashboards. Analytics that never quite agree with each other. A creator ends up piecing together her own picture of what's actually working, by hand, from two products that were never built to talk to each other.
None of that is a single bad decision by a single company. It's a pattern. It's the reason we started building something else.
We wrote a longer founding document before we wrote a line of code. It's the kind of thing most companies keep in a drawer. The short version:
We didn't start with a bio page, a design refresh, or an AI feature. We started with the part almost everyone else treats as an afterthought. The redirect itself.
Today that means a URL shortener that's genuinely free, without an asterisk. Unlimited short links. Real click analytics you can actually see. Custom aliases. QR codes you can put on a flyer, a menu, or a business card. No ads on the redirect. No fee taken. No trial clock quietly running out in the background.
It's almost too simple to announce, and that's the point. We think a URL shortener should take ten seconds to use and should never once make you think about us. Getting that right, first, before anything else, is deliberate. The bio page is next. It's being built to share this same dashboard and these same numbers from day one, not bolted on after the fact.
Some of this we can promise because we chose to build it this way, not because we're stretching to make a good impression. We didn't build an ad business. We didn't design a fee into anything we sell. Neither one was ever necessary to make a free tier work. So the rest of this isn't a vibe. It's written down.
We'll hold ourselves to these, in public, for as long as this company exists.
There's a person out there. You might know her. You might be her. She's turned a following into something real. She's not chasing virality. She's building something that pays, slowly and honestly, one post at a time. She's watched the tools she depends on get more expensive and less predictable, and she's tired of wondering whether today's the day her one link stops working.
We built TnyInk for her. Free, for as long as free can genuinely work. Fair, whenever she needs more than free.
Shrink smart. Share everywhere.
